Guru Nanak Jayanti is one of the most auspicious festivals celebrated by the Sikh community. It's the birth date of Guru Nanak, who was the founder of Sikhism. The festival is celebrated annually and this year, it is being celebrated on 12th November.
The festival is celebrated for three days. Two days before the occasion, the Guru Granth Sahib is read continuously for 48 hours. Gurudwaras all over the world prepare langar, which is prepared and offered by the volunteers and devotees.
